Welcome to our research group at Innsbruck Medical University!

Our primary research focus is on the molecular and cellular mechanisms that govern regenerative growth of peripheral nervous system (PNS) fibers, with the objective of improving both morphological and functional recovery after traumatic nerve injury. To this end, we have developed novel tools and methods to track and quantify regenerative axonal growth in both in vitro and in vivo settings.
